Colin Muir’s workshop for Screenwriters in Mediapolis 31.10.2017 


Welcome to listen Colin Muir's introductory lecture "Writing the tv-series concept". How to create the world and series arc, establish tone and genre, research genre originality and populate the dramatic world? 

After the lecture there will be a workshop for feedback on everyone's own tv-series concept ideas: main and minor story lines, principle characters and theme (story meaning).

Colin Muir has MFAs in Theatre Directing from the University of Connecticut and Film Directing from Temple University in Philadelphia. He was Programme Leader for the MA in Film Screenwriting at the University of Salford/TAMK 2007-14 and was Programme Leader for the MA in Television and Radio Scriptwriting at the University of Salford 1996-2017.

He has been a script development consultant in New York and West Hollywood. He has been a limited partner of a script development company in the UK since 2001.  He produced Joe Strick's Lysistrata, performed at the National Theatre, in 2004. His most recent writing project, Underground, has active production partners with Iris Productions UK and Umedia International.
